I don't specialize in Disney Destinations because I took classes or studied books. It’s because I truly have a passion for Disney. I take my own personal vacations to Disney Destinations and have been to them 50+ times.

Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!

Want to be the hit of your next party? Want to appear as if you are a master mixologist? Then I suggest you sign up for a "Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!" lesson during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This hands-on mixology course will teach you tricks of the trade from some of the very best in the industry.

In 2019, I took the "Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!" class that featured cocktails with vodka. We were given everything we needed to make 3 different cocktails. The ingredients were all pre-measured and all the necessary tools-of-the-trade were provided.

Step by step, we were taken through the steps of making each cocktail. There were large screens in place so we could see the mixologist's steps so we could then mimic them with the items in front of us. Tips and tricks were given along the way such as twisting a cucumber slice just as you would twist a citrus peel to release the delicious oils into your glass. Who knew?

As we finished creating each cocktail, of course we got to drink it. While we sipped at our newly created concoction there was discussion of party tips, history of the spirit, and the brand. When pressurized growlers and the "Flavor Bible" were brought up, people quickly set down their drinks and pulled up Amazon on their phones to get these treasures shipped to their homes right away.

A copy of all three recipes was provided to us so we could take them home and dazzle our friends at our next get-together! The session was approximately 75 minutes long and was positively delightful. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to ask questions and even pose for photos with the mixologist.

The Epcot International Epcot Food & Wine Festival begins in late August and continues through mid-November. There is no additional admission to attend the Festival itself, but there is an additional cost of $45-$50 + tax per person to take the "Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!" lesson. Space is limited and advance reservations are required. Guests must be 21 or over to attend this class.
