"And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, Adventure." - Albus Dumbledore from "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" by J.K. Rowling.   If you are dreaming of stepping into the world of Harry Potter and ...

Halloween Character Meet and Greet

Do you love Halloween? Have you always wanted to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. in costume and trick-or-treat in the Magic Kingdom? At Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party you can do just that! This special ticketed event is family-friendly and the perfect addition to any Fall vacation.During the event, there are many things to see and do. Throughout the Magic Kingdom, you can load up on sugary and allergy-friendly treats at several trick-or-treat locations. And not to worry, Disney supplies the trick-or-treat bags! The evening is dotted with specialty experiences that you can only view during this event. Be sure to catch the "Boo to You Halloween Parade," a themed fireworks display aptly called, "Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular," and a villain-inspired stage show hosted by the Sanderson Sisters. In addition, you can meet rarely-seen characters, characters dressed in costume, and pose for a ghoulish photo op at the Haunted Mansion to remember the night. To get into the spirit of the event, you're encouraged to come in costume. A great costume idea for adults is "Disney-bounding." Disney-Bounding has grown in popularity because you simply enhance items that you already own to reflect a Disney, Pixar, Marvel, or Star Wars character. Please be sure to read up on the costume guidelines before committing to a costume (i.e. masks and accessories that resemble a weapon are not permitted). PRO TIP: Add this event into your itinerary on an "off day." Since the party runs from 7pm until midnight, I suggest planning a low key morning/afternoon the day of the event. Sleep in...get in some pool time...add finishing touches to your costume. With this hard ticket, you can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm which gives you a full 8 hours of park touring!I absolutely love Halloween and this is by far one of my favorite events that Walt Disney World puts on during the year! Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a fantastic way to experience new things at Disney, especially if you're a repeat guest like me. Enjoy the limited time magic of a Disney Halloween!
